The centre of the claim group is located about 400 metres north of Downie Lake, between mounts Anstey and Moloch, approximately 40 kilometres northeast of Revelstoke.

The Saphire occurrence is underlain by Lower Cambrian Badshot Formation limestone. Disseminated galena and sphalerite occurs in limestone (inferred from Ministry of Mines property description form).
